Design interfaces for Digital Library Program (DLP) collections using current web standards (XHTML Strict 1.0 with CSS and JavaScript incorporated into a JAVA Struts environment as well as XML/XSLT transformations of encoded text in eXtensible Text Framework, XTF). Ensure accessible functionality by following semantic HTML guidelines. Conduct usability studies to guide design and functionality of DLP applications and assess usability of applications as they are in development. Enhance user experience with mobile-optimized interfaces.

Worked with a team of programmers and librarians to develop and maintain the Indiana University Libraries' online library catalog (IUCAT), federated searching product OneSearch @IU, and the Indiana University Bloomington's Library web site, Content Manager (password-protected web site), and Intranet (password-protected web site). The purpose of the Content Manager was to provide a centrally-controlled place for librarians and other library staff to maintain the content of the web site and manage the electronic resources made available through the web site. The Intranet served as a place for library staff to organize and share internal documentation and work with committees and groups outside of the defined organizational chart. Duties included programming, debugging, usability testing, planning and design, training, and coordinating work of development groups.

Digitized photographs, sheet music, correspondence, and film for grant-funded Digital Library project to digitize all Indiana University archives associated with Hoagy Carmichael for project web site. Created web pages of guidelines and procedures for digitizing the collection and conducted usability testing on the Hoagy Carmichael web site. Digitized brittle books for Preservation Laboratory and trained and supervised 2 hourly staff.

Responsible for all activities associated with the arrangement, scheduling, and supervision of museum tours. Maintained log of tours using Microsoft Access database. Assisted Curator of Education in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of various museum education programs. Updated six-month backlog of tours on database and kept web site of tours updated. Wrote K-12 script for slide set of images selected from newly-acquired Morton C. Bradley collection.
