Juliet L. Hardesty

As a Metadata Analyst/Librarian and, previously, a User Interface Design Specialist and a Systems Analyst/Programmer at Indiana University, I have worked for over 15 years to help people do everything from record students' grades online to update a web page without needing to know HTML to accessing online full-text special collections. My interests in working on the Internet center around helping people find what they need to find and do what they need to do online as easily and intuitively as possible.

I am a librarian with programming skills and user-centered design training. I like to help people and solve problems. I am also interested in improving communication. Whether that communication is between team members at work or between an interface and its users, I like being able to help people understand.

In May 2006 I received a Master's in Information Science from Indiana University's School of Library and Information Science with a focus in online information retrieval. My educational background includes a Master's in Art History and an undergraduate minor in Business.
